Just minutes ago I spoke to my 2 best mates using Skype. It felt like
time travel.

Mate 1 - Shaun has been living in Santa Cruz, California, for the last 2
years. It was a bright and sunny morning here in Cape Town when I spoke
to him. He was just getting ready to get into bed yesterday. Shaun and I
have spoken a dozen or so times in the last couple of months. We
normally chat skype-to-skype whenever he is behind his computer. Shaun
is a total punk.

Mate 2 - Gareth is on an around the world trip from London to Cape Town
(yes the long way around via Indonesian, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii,
States, Mexico, Central America, UK and then home to Slaapstad). Gareth
is in Auckland, New Zealand, at the moment. When I spoke to him, he was
just ending his Tuesday and discussing the novelty of flying back over
the International date line in a couple of days when he makes the trip
to the North Shore.

Now I haven't moved from the chair in my office overlooking the City of
Cape Town, but I do feel like I've been moved.

Life is about love and happiness. Love and happiness is about people.
